This section
will tell you what you will obtain or recover by devouring enemies. Devouring
requires the ability "Devour" learnt by Eden GF.By devouring you can increase
various statistics for your characters or gain hp etc. The item that gives
teaches Devour is the Hungry Cookpot, an item that can only be gained by modding
a PuPu card. To find out how to get this hrare card visit the card section.
If a Devour is successful, the enemy's gone and you'll get a message about how
the enemy tasted, which may range anywhere from "Awful" to "Delicious!" (and
many others in-between). An effect may occur, which may be helpful, such as
restoring your HP and status effects, or harmful, such as damage or bad status
inflictions. (Note - if you Devour an enemy who is Poisoned, you will also be
Poisoned, regardless of the effect.) A list of effects are listed below. Note
that effects may change depending on the level range of an enemy, and that some
enemies cannot be devoured at all.
Random
Notes
"high damage"
may mean 1/3 of HP. (maximum or current?)
"partial HP
recovery" may mean restoring 1/2 of HP (max or current?)
Bomb said to
give 1/3 damage and random negative status effect. (A_737_400)
Tri-Face said
to give Poison (may be random) and HP recovery. (Rahvin)
VIT may be
DEF. (on Adamantoise)
Devouring
Rinoa gives extra HP but doing so will keep you from winning the game.
Ruby Dragon's
MaxHP +10 said to occur only after level 45. (Squall Leonhart)
Some unlisted
enemies CAN be Devoured but give "no effect." They should be included in the
list.
There are a few things we have yet to determine...
Is there a set
percentage amount for "partial recovery" and "small," "medium," "large," and
"high" damage? If so, what, and is it of max, or current HP?
Is random
status effect always negative?
Here's what the sayings appear to be...
"Delicious!" -
full HP recovery
"Refreshing!"
- full HP and status recovery
"Tastes
Awful!" - small damage, adds Poison
"Shouldn't...have...eaten...it" - small damage + poison - but someone said the
eater dies (as opposed to small damage). explanation: small damage is
percentage of max HP, and eater, at low enough HP, took just enough damage to
die.
