About
Before Crisis is an action RPG game crated for the mobile phone format.
Before Crisis like its predecessors is strongly story based along with some
battle elements. Currently, the controls for the game utilize four buttons. The
placements of the buttons and their functions allow a streamlined experience for
the player, as there is a great potential for using combination movements. At
the same time, as there are only four keys, it’s easy to catch on to what each
one does. The game itself is played online with many other players around Japan.
You will be be able to receive missions from other characters and requests to
play with other people around the globe, as a Turk.
While Before Crisis has not been released outside of Japan yet, expectations for
the game are high. Mobile gaming has not yet picked up in popularity in North
America and Europe, but Square-Enix is hoping that the success the game has had
in its home market base will be reflected abroad. A tentative feeler has been
put out in North America, where Square-Enix is said to be planning an American
release in 2006 on the Verizon mobile network. Actual confirmations as to date
and other mobile carriers to be used have not yet been made.
Story
Before Crisis is the prequel to the 1997 Sony PlayStation video game Final
Fantasy VII, taking place during the six years prior to the events of that game.
It involves the adventures of the Turks, a group of supporting characters
featured in Final Fantasy VII.Before Crisis Story is set just after the War
between Shinra and the Wutai Tribe. With the tribe now defeated and the peoples
of Gaia now in need for materia and Mako, Shinra finds itself the dominant power
in the world. There are those that disagree with the actions of Shinra. These
are called AVALANCHE. The main story is the plot between the the AVALANCHE and
Shinra, although more events occur and escalate.
There are a total of 25 episodes altogether, with the bonus episode titled:
"Tseng's Side Story". This bonus is set prior to Before Crisis and talks about
Tseng's past life. Towards the end of May, a special edition game mode; WEAPON
mode, will be released, in which revolves around your character travelling the
world and hunting down JADE WEAPON. This is the seventh weapon known in the
Series of Final Fantasy VII along side: Ultimate Weapon, Diamond Weapon, Ruby
