[A chopper flies over the mountains of Nibelheim. A PHS rings.]

Player

Sephiroth’s fallen into the Mako pool. He’s probably dead.

Tseng

What?!

Player

There are injured people here. I’d like to request an emergency team be sent to the reactor.

Tseng

I understand. (Thought) Why isn’t Veld here at an important time like this…? I can handle this myself, but…

Nibelheim Reactor

[You have gathered the injured Zack and Cloud together.]

Player

Zack, Cloud. Just hang on a little longer. The rescue team will get here soon.

[You turn around when a noise distracts you. A Grand Horn lumbers into view.]

Player

A monster?!

[From your other side, another Grand Horn approaches.]

Player

Don’t come any closer!

[They close in on you.

FIGHT: Grand Horn [x2]

After the battle, three Grand Horns surround you and the injured Zack and Cloud.]

Player

There’s more of them! What’s with this reactor?!

[FIGHT: Grand Horn [x3]

Three more Grand Horns beset you.

FIGHT: Grand Horn [x3]]

Player

Whew. I think that was the last of them.

[At that moment, Professor Hojo arrives.]

Professor Hojo

Sephiroth… you've sure done it this time…

Player

Professor Hojo…

[Hojo examines the fallen Zack and Cloud. Tseng arrives a moment later.]

Player

Tseng, why is the Professor here?

Tseng

He said he wanted to come.

……

Player

Tseng? (Thought) What’s wrong? He doesn’t look too happy.

Tseng

No, it’s nothing. We’ve received special top secret orders from the President.

Player

A special top secret order?!

Tseng

I’ll explain later. For now, just go back to town and check in with Reno and Rude. They’re rescuing the injured townspeople.

Player

Yes, sir. I’ll leave them with you, then.

[You leave.]

Professor Hojo

How is the cleanup going?

Tseng

They’ve already begun. Sir… Is it really necessary to go this far?

Professor Hojo

Your opinions are of no consequence.

[Hojo examines Cloud.]

Professor Hojo

(Thought) So this is the soldier that fought Sephiroth and lived. (Out loud) Interesting… Truly interesting. I can use him as a new research sample. You there. Go and get the manor ready.

Tseng

Yes, sir.

Professor Hojo

To think that there would ever come a day that I’d be able to do research in the mansion again. Heh heh heh.

[End of Chapter 13.1.]

[You reach the town. It is badly damaged, burned and collapsed buildings are everywhere.]

Player

Whoa… This is terrible…. (Thought) Everything’s completely burnt.

[The PHS rings.]

Tseng

It’s me. What’s your status?

Player

I just got here.

Tseng

Good timing. You can see the biggest house in the village from there, right?

Player

Yes, sir. I see it.

Tseng

Head for that building.

Player

Why, sir? I was going to help round up survivors.

Tseng

This is important too. There’s a research laboratory in the basement of the mansion. I want you to look at the machines there for me. Make sure that everything is still functional.

Player

How is that important? We can do that anytime.

Tseng

A new research project is going to start there today. Professor Hojo’s got some experiments he wants to perform. That’s why it’s important.

[He hangs up.]

Player

(Thought) Experiments…? Just what kind of experiments could he mean?

Shinra Mansion, 1st Floor

[The PHS rings.]

Tseng

Head for the research lab, Rosalind. Take the central staircase up. There’ll be a door on the far right. Take the stairs down from there.

Player

Okay.

Tseng

I’ll tell you how to open the door. If you face the door and push the command key, you’ll be able to open it.

[You now have to find the place Tseng is talking about. You’ll come across the staircase Tseng mentioned and go down. You notice something is wrong.]

Player

Huh?

[You go down the next flight of stairs.]

Player

!! Something’s not right.

[You go down the next flight, and start on the next.]

Player

No, something’s definitely not right!

[You head back up and through a door.]

Player

Hey. This is the same place I started from… (Thought) I was going in circles? What’s going on here?

[The PHS rings. You scream, startled.]

Player

The – the phone…

Tseng

Rosalind, what’s your status?

Player

Sorry… I’m still not there yet. (Thought) He wouldn’t believe me about the stairs even if I told him…

Tseng

Good. I’ve received instructions from Hojo about liquidating some important documents hidden away in the archives room.

Player

Destroying secret documents? Why do that?

Tseng

Once the mansion is operational, the volume of people entering and exiting the building will increase. Hojo wants the documents retrieved before that. The archive is locked, so the first thing you’re going to have to do is find the key.

Player

Yes, sir.

Tseng

One more thing. If you come across anything that shouldn't be there, liquidate it.

Player

(Thought) Let’s find this key.

[Just then you notice a burning ball of blue flame that looks kind of like a hitodama (1) floating in the corridor.]

Player

Wha – What is that?! It’s coming this way!

[Another hitodama follows in the wake of the first one.]

Player

(Thought) Run!

[You dart into one of the rooms. Inside this room, you come across another hitodama.]

Player

Yeugh! Here too?! And – A-Anyway, I should find a switch…

[The hitodama in your direction. You quickly hit the light. It retreats to its original position at a bookcase in the corner.]

Player

Hey!

[The hitodama is actually a Dorky Face. (The pumpkin-headed monsters found in the Shin-Ra Mansion.)]

Player

(Thought) That’s this thing’s true form. You can only see it if it’s bright. I think I can take it from here. If I keep turning on the lights as I search for the key, everything will be all right. I face the light switch and hit the command button, right?

[You can choose to fight the Dorky Face or leave it alone. I would recommend fighting this one.

FIGHT: Dorky Face]

Player

(Thought) Just what is this place?! Are they really going to perform experiments in a place like this?

[You leave the room. You are now given the freedom to move about the mansion. Turn on lights as you go – if a Dorky Face touches you in the dark, you’ll lose some HP. Eventually, you’ll find a shiny object lying on a musty bed on the 1st floor.]

Player

This must be the key. (Thought) This has got to be the key to the archive.

[You call Tseng.]

Player

I’ve found the key, Tseng. Where is the archive?

Tseng

I’ll check with Professor Hojo. In the meantime, try finding it yourself.

Player

Yes, sir. (Thought) Now I’m off to find the archive.

[Once you’ve found the right door…]

Player

I wonder if this is it? It opened… this is the archive…

[You enter. Inside, three hitodama are floating near another shiny object.]

Player

(Thought) This isn’t the archive. There’s a key over there too. Looks like I’ll have to get that one as well.

[You flip the light and engage the first Dorky Face.

FIGHT: Dorky Face [x1]

You pick up the key. The other Dorky Face gets angry. Just then the phone rings. You yelp.]

Tseng

Rosalind.

Player

I’ve found the key to the archive (To yourself). And what’s this burning smell?

Tseng

I’m switching over to Hojo.

Professor Hojo

It’s me. The archive is the room on the far left, 2nd floor. All of the documents in there are classified. I don’t want you poking your nose in any of them.

Player

Understood. How can I tell which one it is?

Professor Hojo

The number 5763 should be on the spine.

Player

(Thought) He actually remembers it?! (Out loud) Yes, sir.

[You hang up and get pulled into a battle with the Dorky Faces.

FIGHT: Dorky Face [x2]

You make your way to the 2nd floor.]

Player

This is it… (Thought) I wonder what’s in those reports that Professor Hojo wants to hide so badly…

[You turn on the light. Inside the room is another Dorky Face.

FIGHT: Dorky Face [x1]

There are a number of bookshelves lining the wall. You find the book you’re looking for.]

Player

Report No. 5763… this is it!

[You get a choice of whether to read the report or not:

>>I think I’ll read the report.

>>I’m not going to read the report.

If you choose to read the report:

Player

(Thought) It’s not as if I’m going to say anything, so it’s okay. "There have been reports of strange activity lately… However, such unscientific claims do not sway me… This entire phenomenon must be scientifically explainable… Will be explained below…"

(Out loud) Uh huh.

(Goes back to reading) "…therefore it has been proven."

(Thought) U-ugh. This is too complicated. I can't understand this at all. All I know is that Professor Hojo really wanted to prove something.

(Out loud) Hm? This spine is No. 3022 this isn't it either.

>>Maybe I should read it…?

>>Don't even think about reading it.

If you read the report:

Player

It's not as if I'm going to tell anybody. A peek won't hurt...Wow, this is old… It's hard to read with some of these parts blurred… "All the victims of the accidental bombing at XY town were disposed of at this location…" Disposed of?! That's awful…

You move to another bookshelf.

Player

Spine No. 5763. This is it!

>>Read it.

>>Don’t read it.

Player

It's not like I'm going to tell anybody what I read, so it's okay. "I've started the experiments on the victims from XY town… The principles used to fuse Materia into the subjects' bodies…"

(Thought) Ugh… this is too complicated. I don't get it…

(Continues reading) "…is why it failed… The direct fusion of Materia with human subjects is impossible… Under normal circumstances, one cannot embed Materia into the flesh without a prosthetic limb…"

(Thought) Maybe this is a log of Professor Hojo’s failed experiments, and he didn’t want anybody to see them.

[You call Tseng.]]

Player

I’ve found the report.

Tseng

Good work. I’ll switch with the Professor again.

Professor Hojo

You didn’t read what was inside, did you?

Player

N-no. I’ll destroy the report right away.

Tseng

Find the room with the fireplace. Burn the report there.

Player

Y-yes, sir. (Thought) Where is the fireplace room?

[Veld arrives in Nibelheim.]

Tseng

Sir!! You’ve returned.

Veld

The President told me to come out here.

Professor Hojo

So you’re finally here. That’s good. It wouldn't be the same without you. What kept you?

Veld

My apologies for the inconvenience.

Professor Hojo

Look at this place. Remember…

[Veld grunts.]

Professor Hojo

Hee hee hee. This day – doesn't it take you back to the day I passed the fruits of my wonderful experiments onto you?

Veld

……

Professor Hojo

I’ve decided to run a new series of experiments starting today.

Veld

Are you using the mansion for this?

Professor Hojo

That's right.

Veld

I thought that place wasn’t being used anymore…?

Professor Hojo

It’s no concern of mine. I’ve sent one of your subordinates in there to check the condition of the lab.

Veld

(Thought) What?! They’re in there? They’d better be all right…

[The scene switches. You make your way through the mansion in search of the room with the fireplace.]

Player

(Thought) There’s a fireplace here. (Out loud) I just toss the report in here, right? Here goes!

[The fire leaps as the report is consumed.]

Player

Wow, it just went up in a huge flame. I have to go to the laboratory now. I wonder if I can find it, though…

[Just as you’re about to leave the room, the door opens. Veld steps through.]

Player

Sir! You came back. Did you just get here?

Veld

Yeah. Forget about that. Are you all right, Rosalind?

Player

Yes. I’m about to go to the research lab.

Veld

Nothing odd happened?

Player

Er… not really.

Veld

A lot of things happened here a long time ago. That’s why they stopped using this place.

Player

What?!

Veld

I’ll go to the lab with you. Follow me. Don’t fall behind.

[Inside the lab, Veld stops.]

Veld

Ugh. This place hasn't changed – creepy as always.

[He examines the room and the various bits of equipment before turning on the lights.]

Veld

All right. Everything looks good here. Let’s go.

Player

Sir… What is the Professor going to do here?

Veld

Who knows? It’s not something we have to be concerned with.

[Veld leaves the room. A moment later, you hear him exclaim in surprise.]

Veld

What is this?!

Player

Sir!

[You rush out of the room.]

Player

G- Kyaaaaaaaahhh!!

[A white light encompasses everything.]

[End of Episode 13.2.]

Midgar

Sector 8

Player

Wha -?!

Veld

This is… Sector 8, in Midgar.

Player

What’s going on, sir!

Veld

I don’t know. This might be an illusion…?

[Veld tries to leave the way you both came.]

Veld

No good. We can’t get out.

[Your PHS rings.]

Tseng

You’ve got orders. You’re to patrol Sector 8.

Player

What?!

Tseng

This is standard work for all new Turks. It’s company tradition. Your seniors Rude and Reno, and even I started off with this work.

Player

Tseng! Wait a minute.

Tseng

Look at this work as you would a real mission.

Player

Tseng, can’t you hear me?!

Veld

That was Tseng?

Player

Yes. But he couldn’t hear me.

Veld

If we can’t get back, we don’t have many options. We might get some clues as to what’s happening if we just go along with this.

Player

Yes, sir.

[You lead Veld on your first mission as a Turk. You duck around the corner when you hear the voice of two AVALANCHE members talking.]

AVALANCHE

The long awaited day of Shin-Ra’s downfall is in sight. Don’t go messing things up now. Down with the Shin-Ra!

AVALANCHE B

Down with the Shin-Ra!

Player

I remember this day…

Veld

……

[Just as it did that first day, your PHS goes off, alerting the AVALANCHE operatives to your presence.]

AVALANCHE

Who’s there?!

Player

(Thought) This happened that day too…

AVALANCHE

That uniform… The Shin-Ra Company’s Turks?!

Player

What do you think you’re doing?!

AVALANCHE

You overheard our plans. We’re going to have to get rid of you!

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x1]

Unlike the last time, Veld is with you in this fight. You run forward to take on the enemy.

Veld

(In fight) Wait! This could be dangerous. That’s no ordinary AVALANCHE soldier.

He steps forward and shoots a massive fireball at the soldier. The soldier collapses and fades. A Dorky Face takes its place.

Veld

(In fight) That’s its true form.]

Player

(Thought) This is the first time I’ve seen Veld fight. He’s strong… (Out loud) Sir, about that arm…

Veld

…it’s a prosthetic. It’s been designed with a Materia slot in it.

Player

How is that…

Veld

It’s so that I can continue working with the Turks. (Thought) This arm is the reason I’m going to keep working with the Turks. (Out loud) Let’s go.

Player

Yes, sir.

[An AVALANCHE soldier runs at you.]

AVALANCHE

How dare you do that to my comrade! Die!

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x1] Yes, Veld is with you again.

After the battle, your PHS rings again.]

Tseng

Give me a report of what happened.

Player

Tseng! What day is this?!

Tseng

‘Down with the Shin-Ra…?’ Who could they be…? We need to know more. Go see if there are more of those men around.

Player

He really can’t hear me…

[You have no choice but to continue as you did that day. You resume your patrol. Meanwhile, in a street outside the Sector 8 reactor, the two AVALANCHE members that went ahead to secure the reactor are speaking.]

AVALANCHE

I’m going to take the front. You stay and take the rear.

[They head off down the street. Your PHS rings.]

Tseng

I want you to capture these men and try to get information out of them.

Player

(Thought) So this is that day?!

[You continue up the street.]

AVALANCHE

We’ll secure this route. Don’t let anyone through.

[You run out to intercept the AVALANCHE member on watch.]

AVALANCHE B

The Turks! I’m not letting you get past here.

[As it happened on that day, two more AVALANCHE members appear behind you.]

AVALANCHE C

There’s no getting away now!

AVALANCHE D

We’re not letting you get away with this, Shin-Ra traitor! Don’t think you’re getting out of here alive!

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x2]

The PHS rings. It’s Tseng.

Tseng

(In fight) What’s your situation?!! If you’ve got a number of opponents to fight at the same time, use magic. It’ll make things easier for you.

You continue up to the reactor.]

AVALANCHE

You’re not getting past me!

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x1]

At the entrance to the reactor, AVALANCHE has just set off the bomb.]

AVALANCHE

Okay! We’ve opened a path to the Mako reactor. I’ll set up the explosives. You guys keep watch at the entrance.

[Two AVALANCHE members stand guard on either side of the entrance, while the third guy goes in. Four more AVALANCHE members are standing by on the right side of the street.]

AVALANCHE B

We’ll enter the reactor as planned. Move out!

[They enter the reactor. At that moment, you and Veld arrive on the scene.]

Veld

This is the day AVALANCHE first began their resistance.

Player

Yes. I was standing right here. What should I do?

Veld

Let’s go in. We might be able to find out what’s going on.

Player

Yes, sir.

Veld

Now, those guards…

Player

Sir, I’ll go.

[You run in front of the sentries.]

AVALANCHE

! I’m not letting you through, Turk.

Player

I’ll clear the way myself!

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x2] You are fighting by yourself this time.]

Veld

Let’s go.

[Just as it happened on that day, three AVALANCHE operatives come running at you. This time, however, they surround Veld.]

Player

Sir?!

Veld

Hold yourself together, Rosalind.

[FIGHT: AVALANCHE [x2] With Veld.

Six AVALANCHE operatives surround you.]

Player

They don’t’ know when to quit…

Veld

……

[At that moment, Reno comes running in and knocks out two of the AVALANCHE members.]

Reno

Hey, rookie! Looks like you’ve gotten yourself into quite a mess on your first day, huh?

Player

Reno?!

Veld

……

[Reno swings at Veld.

FIGHT: Reno, AVALANCHE [x1]

Player

Reno?! What’s going on here?! Why are you attacking Veld?!

Veld

Don’t panic, Rosalind.

Veld shoots a fireball at Reno, who immediately turns into a Dorky Face.

Player

So Reno was an illusion, too…

Veld

Don’t let your guard down, Rosalind! We’re going!

Player

Yes, sir!

Voice

What’s the matter? Don’t start getting upset now. You're a Turk. This should be nothing for someone like you.

Veld

Who’s there?!

[Another Veld appears beside you.]

Player

S-Sir?!

Fake Veld

What’s the matter? Scared?

Veld

Don't think that'll run with me. Show yourself!

Fake Veld

Just like a Turk leader. It looks like it'll take more than just this to get to you. So, how about this?

[The fake Veld heads for the reactor entrance.]

Fake Veld

Follow me. We'll see what happens next…

Player

Sir…

Veld

Let’s go.

[End of Episode 13.3.]

Kalm

Player

Now we’re in Kalm? Um, sir.

[Another Veld walks up.]

Player

Sir?! What is…

Veld

It can’t be…

[You look between the two Velds, confused.]

Player

(Thought) This is an illusion.

[Suddenly the ground shakes and everything goes pitch black.]

Player

!!

[When you can see again, the town is burning, and one of the Velds is on fire.]

Fake Veld

Ugh!

Player

Sir?!

Fake Veld

Why… Why was Kalm attacked…? The house?!

Veld

Ugh. So it is that day…

[The Fake Veld runs away. The real Veld follows him.]

Player

Um, sir?!

[You start to follow, but a monster leaps in front of you. It’s Lost Number.]

Player

Wait, stay back!

[FIGHT: Lost Number

The scene changes. You are still in Kalm. The Fake Veld is speaking on a PHS.]

Player

The same place again… Has time skipped forward?

[The scene switches to an area outside Kalm.]

Shin-Ra Soldier

This is A team.

Fake Veld

Start the operation. Target: Kalm.

Shin-Ra Soldier

Kalm?! That’s not what we were told. Hey! Answer me!!

Shin-Ra Soldier B

What’s wrong?

Shin-Ra Soldier

The signal’s gone.

Shin-Ra Soldier B

We’re staring the mission? Let’s get this over with, already. What’s the target?

Shin-Ra Soldier

Kalm.

Shin-Ra Soldier B

That’s different from the coordinates we were given. Isn’t Kalm Veld’s hometown?!

Shin-Ra Soldier

He probably told his family to get out of there. Then again, he’s a Turk. He might just allow the orders to carry through without doing anything.

Shin-Ra Soldier B

Man, that’s scary. We’d better start the mission before the monsters come out.

[The ground shakes. The scene switches again to Kalm burning. The Fake Veld’s arm has caught fire.]

Fake Veld

Ugh! Why… Why has Kalm been attacked…? The house?!

Veld

Ugh. So this really is that day…

Player

That day?! What do you mean by ‘that day’?

Veld

The destruction of Kalm. And the day I got this prosthetic arm.

Player

Kalm’s destruction?! When was this? This is the first I’ve heard of it.

Veld

You wouldn’t have heard of it. I was the one that ordered Kalm’s destruction. And as a Turk, it was my responsibility to cover up what happened here.

Player

Sir!! Wait!

Veld

And… The survivors of that incident were transported to Nibelheim…

[You run after Veld, but are stopped again by monsters. This time there are two Lost Numbers.]

Player

Again?! Move!

[FIGHT: Lost Number [x2]

The scene switches again to a restored Kalm.]

Player

We’re here again…? There’s no one here, though.

[The Fake Veld joins you and the real Veld.]

Player

Oh, there he is…

Veld

It looks like time has moved forward again.

[The fake Veld speaks on his PHS.]

Veld

Start the mission. The target is 50 kilometres north of Kalm.

Player

50 kilometres north?! So you didn’t target Kalm!

Fake Veld

Oi! Can you hear me?!

[The Fake Veld hangs up.]

Veld

Whether I did or didn’t order the target, the result was the same. It still doesn’t change the fact that the town was destroyed. I burned Kalm. I killed my wife and daughter.

[The ground shakes again and the scene blacks out. It is replaced by Kalm in flames again. The Fake Veld is on fire.]

Fake Veld

Ugh!

Veld

I destroyed Kalm…

Fake Veld

That’s right. You did. You were the only survivor.

Veld

That’s right… My wife… my daughter… they were carried to Nibelheim, where they died…

Fake Veld

That’s not all.

Veld

I was the one that transported the survivors there. To the mansion in Nibelheim.

Fake Veld

And… they were all killed… to cover up for your mistake… You can’t be forgiven!!

[The Fake Veld morphs into Lost Number, who attacks Veld. Veld is frozen to the spot, paralyzed.]

Player

Sir?! He’s been petrified?! You want to destroy him?! I’m not going to let you!!

[FIGHT: Lost Number [x3]

After the fight, you find yourself back in the lab. Veld’s paralysis wears off.]

Veld

The illusion’s worn off…

Player

Sir, are you all right?

Veld

Yeah. The paralysis wore off when the monster was destroyed.

Player

What… was that illusion…

Veld

…many experiments were carried out here.

Player

! (Thought) That stuff I read in the documents was talking about some of those experiments.

Veld

This is what the Turks do. Even if it means killing your family, you’ll continue to do your job.

Player

……I understand… (Thought) I do…

Veld

If that’s settled, fine. We’re going back.

Player

Right.

Veld

(Thought) What happened today will be buried here, just like before…

[Reno and Rude join Tseng and Hojo outside.]

Reno

Tseng, we’ve gathered all the survivors.

Rude

We’ll treat them once we’ve gotten them into the mansion.

Tseng

Yeah… I guess so…

Professor Hojo

Hee hee. Aren’t the preparations for the mansion done yet?

[You and Veld rejoin the group.]

Reno

Hey, they’re back.

Tseng

Sir! Rosalind!

Veld

Professor Hojo. The mansion is ready.

Professor Hojo

I’ve been waiting for this… Start bringing the survivors into the mansion.

Veld

…all of you. You heard him.

Professor Hojo

Hurry it up. I want this operation done fast, just like in Kalm.

Player

Sir. Are the people carried to the mansion going to be…

Veld

……

Reno

You’re not saying anything?

Rude

In other words…

Professor Hojo

Don’t worry. I’m not going to kill them. They’re going to become the test samples for my brilliant new ideas. Kuchi Can't you imagine the possibilities? Hee hee hee.

Tseng

Ugh…

Reno

……it’s going to look weird if all the townspeople disappear at once.

Veld

That’s been taken care of. Shin-Ra employees will rebuild this town and play out the parts of the villagers.

Tseng

……

Player

(Thought) They’d actually do that? That’s horrible…

Professor Hojo

Your opinions do not matter. Just get them into the mansion.

[Hojo slithers off.]

Rude

Sir…

Tseng

This is too dirty.

Reno

Can’t keep doing stuff like this, you know.

Veld

……all right. You don’t have to do anything.

Tseng

?!

Veld

I’ll handle everything here. (Thought) That day…

[Flashback to Kalm burning. Veld speaks over it.]

Veld

(Voiceover) From that day on, I killed what was left of my emotions and focused on my work. It was the only way I could forget what had happened. I lost my family. The only thing that I could lean on after that was the Turks. But I don’t want you to become like me. That’s why I’ll do this.

[Veld and the others leave. You are left standing in front of the wreckage that used to be the inn.]

Player

(Thought) What are the Turks…? Do we really do dirty stuff like this…? Zack… Cloud… I’m sorry… It’s my fault… I should have just left them alone.

[You spot Tifa’s cat.]

Player

(Thought) It’s live.

Cat

Meow.

Player

(Thought) Get out of here while you still can. If you stay, I don’t know what Hojo will do to you.

Cat

Meow.

Player

(Thought) Don’t worry. Tifa’s escaped. Nobody knows where she is.

Cat

Meow.

[The cat darts off.]

Player

(Thought) Even if Tifa’s not around, I want you to keep on living. What will happen to me if I leave the Turks? Can I live by myself, like that cat?

Shin-Ra HQ

Veld

Mr. President. I've just returned.

President Shinra

Oh, it’s you Veld. Good job on the Nibelheim coverup. You know why I called you here?

Veld

Of course. I’m here to give you an update on the special investigation order you requested.

President Shinra

That’s right. Have you found out where AVALANCHE is moving next?

Veld

Wutai.

President Shinra
